This was a short film I edited for writer/director Bryan Bagby. It was shot for a reality competition sponsored by Stephen Spielberg for Fox's "On the Lot". The show liked the film and asked Bryan to shoot a second short titled "Three Cheers for Mayor Taylor". Hazard is a thriller about a young woman whose car breaks down on a dark road. .

Having started editing on a linear system (tape-to-tape) 18 years ago at David Otta Productions, I learned the importance of timing, the essentials of music and the enhancements of graphics to a project. Every project I work on I take time to make look like something you would see on a large scale high-budget production. I believe this is achieved by using graphics, and over the last 5 years, motion graphics. My specialty in editing deals with promos, walkthroughs, commercials and documentaries. I like to use video to enhance an online marketing piece, or Web site.
I really enjoy working with clients to develop a project that can be used not just from a DVD, but on the Web, or a CD-ROM. Making a video interactive is almost like creating a micro-site, where the user can navigate to different parts of video, or seamlessly taking multiple videos and giving them continuity. As a freelance editor I learned my skills from David Otta Productions in Santa Ana, CA. I started in High School and still to this day keep in close contact with David, and continue to help him with visual effects, graphics and editing.
